Fall is in the air and cool weather plants are going in the ground at the garden. It’s always sad to say goodbye to tomatoes and cukes and squash. But thanks to our lovely temperate climate, we get to make room for salad greens, beets, carrots, radishes, kale and cabbage to name a few. We still have strawberries and garlic to put in this fall and the peppers are going like crazy not to mention eggplant, berries and some fall squash. Since the weather is changing, we wanted to remind you of new garden hours:
- Tuesdays evenings – 5-7pm (it’s getting dark earlier)
- Saturday mornings – 8am-12noon
Last night was our last Thursday evening garden. Tuesdays will end at the end of October when we lose daylight savings time and Saturdays will continue until Thanksgiving (though we’ll start at 9am when it gets colder – we’ll let you know).
