Simple Gifts Community Garden is dedicated to the entire community. Membership costs just $20 per family, per year (Jan. 1st -Dec. 31st). Go to Forms to download a membership form.
Our members work together to plan each year’s regular and special community-wide events. We sow, grow, care for, and harvest organic produce communally.
Whether your hands include one or more green thumbs, or fingers that seem to kill every plant they touch – no worries! We learn from each other, share the load, and share the bounty we grow with 5 local food pantries: St. Mary’s AME Church Food Pantry, Western Wake Crisis Minstry, The Point Food Pantry, Holly Springs Food Cupboard and Fuquay Varina Emergency Food Pantry.
Join us at any workday for a tour, introductions to other garden members and to give community gardening a try. If you want to join, we have the paperwork on site or you can download it from our forms page and bring it with you. Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing you can get dirty. Bring water and gloves and consider sunscreen and/or a hat.
You will find us at 3109 Tingen Road, Apex, NC.
Workdays include:
Saturdays 9 am to noon March until Thanksgiving
(beginning and ending earlier due to extreme weather, join the garden and receive our emails about time changes!)Tuesdays 5-7 pm (during daylight savings time)
*Additional workdays are scheduled as needed

WOW ! my neighbor , ( Ms. Mary ) told me about the community garden and I was thrilled to also know, I do not have to have a green thumb to become a participant ! I would love to become a part of the “family”. Summertimes would be really hard for me because I am usually in chemo months, however other than that I am ready to go to work … how do I sign up : ) ??
